First of all the 'skin' is the background you see on the screen, at present you will see the 'default' skin which is also the 'rock' skin (this has Billy Joe Armstrong from Green Day at the top of the page). 'Rock' also has a black background with red text.
To change the skin to your own preference simply follow these steps:
1. click >profile (at the top of the page)
2. click >modify profile
3. scroll down to 'account preferences'
4. use the drop down menu in 'select skin' to chose the skin you want
